As a Medical Transcriptionist you will learn how to understand and transcribe a variety of medical reports. You will use transcribing equipment to translate recordings made by physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient assessment and treatment. Strong English and listening skills are needed. You should also be detail oriented and familiar with personal computers.
In this profession, you will need a broad knowledge of medical terminology, the human body, English grammar and spelling, as well as transcription skills.
